The Fallen King
A land of powerful aristocratic houses. Peros is divided along clear class lines with a large serf class, a small group of nobles, and not much in between. The Kingdom is known for rampant corruption were nothing can be accomplished without paying off the nobility.
Despite its inefficiency, the Kingdom of Peros has not been invaded in centuries due to its giant size and massive population. The threat of the army that it can field is enough to keep potential enemies away. The greatest danger has been internal revolt, which has been minimized by strong religious devotion and that the nobles often use their vast wealth for well trained personal guard and hire powerful magic users.
